Ashley Miller, MS, LPC, SAC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She received her Master’s Degree in Community Mental Health from Southern New Hampshire University, and her Bachelor’s Degree in Family Life Education from UW-Stevens Point. Ms. Miller has experience working individually with children, age 5 through adult in an outpatient setting, treating multiple symptoms and concerns. She has also facilitated groups for both teens and adults to provide support, education and insight building to help positively impact mental well-being. Ms. Miller has experience with children and families in a variety of settings, prior to her clinical practice.
Ms. Miller’s approach to therapy is working with the individual, which can also include family, to address concerns and symptoms that are currently causing distress in their life. She understands many factors contribute to an individual’s well-being and she hopes to assist each person on a plan that addresses their specific concerns. Ms. Miller’s technique is primary through cognitive behavioral therapy; working on addressing on how an individual’s thoughts can directly impact behavior and mood. She also uses Solution focused treatment to address the issues that are presently causing distress, and work on resolution
